
In the face of a super-aging society, lifelong learning and independent aging have become important issues for everyone. President Yi-Fang Lee of AletheiaUniversity and President Yu-Chao Chen of the Eden Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the International Conference Center of Aletheia University on the 13th, Feb. in the presence of a number of VIPs. In the future, through the industry and academic professions of the two parties, we will work together to promote the 'Cooperative Program for Aging-Learning', which will assist to support the life of the senior citizens after retirement and inject new vitality into the higher education.
Eden and Aletheia University signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote aging-learning.
Prior to the signing ceremony, the Board Director of Eden, Ms. Ailan Tsao, gave a speech to the faculty and staff of Aletheia University on the topic of 'Reservations for Self-Directed Aging'. Aging is an inevitable stage of life, and planning for it or not can lead to very different outcomes for one's own life and the lives of others. Ms. Ailan Tsao emphasized, 'Everyone needs to complete a plan for aging, and this is an important personal responsibility.'

Aletheia University President Yi-Fang Lee said that the “Cooperative Program for Aging-Learning” is a project developed by Aletheia University's Office of Research and Development, and integrates the resources of The Office of Academic Affairs,The Office of Student Affairs, and The Office of General Affairs, to design a variety of lifelong learning courses based on the needs of different age groups, such as financial planning, personal health maintenance strategies, and living space improvement. In addition to enriching the lives of senior citizens, the program also aims to understand the needs of senior citizens through the learning process, and serve as a way to reflect on and give back to the governmental policies.
Chairman of Aletheia University presented the memorial gift, and Eden's President Mr. Chen Yuzhao received the gift on behalf of the organization.
Dr. Yi-Fang Lee said that this program is intended to further promote the reform of higher education in Taiwan, and she believes that on a beautiful campus, seniors and students will be able to learn and grow together. Eden Foundation President Yu-Chao Chen emphasized that the cooperative program is not only an innovation in education, but also a reflect of social responsibility, and in the face of the current situation of a super-age society, the older persons can take advantage of their rich social experience to be respected, and to obtain happiness and learning opportunities.
Through industry-academia collaboration, we hope to accompany every life in the aging process and nourish and enrich it in a super-aging society.
Eden Foundation have been promoting services for older persons for a long time, providing a wide range of professional services such as daycare, care sites, home-based care and meal delivery for older persons according to the needs of them. At the same time, Eden also actively cares for the “feelings” of older persons. While providing frontline services and responding to the needs of them, Eden will continue to integrate various professions so that every life can be nourished and enriched in the process of aging and grow old happily.
