"Eden Clothing Store, Mobile Clothes Closet" goes into the community to spread warmth and practice sustainability

In order to reach out to the community, spread warmth and care, and put the concept of sustainable environmental protection into practice, Eden Social Welfare Foundation is organizing the event, "Eden Clothing Store, Mobile Clothes Closet" from 16th to 17th January. Preparing brand new or in good condition second-hand winter coats, so that the community and families in need can pick up their winter coats.

"Eden Clothing Store, Mobile Clothes Closet"has a variety of winter coats for the community in need can pick up.

A number of volunteers came early in the morning and patiently and carefully hung all kinds of clothes on the rod, including functional jackets, windbreakers, vests, scarves, etc. More than 400 pieces of clothes were available in the two days for the public to pick up according to their own needs to withstand the cold winter.

Eden promotes employment for persons with disabilities through the used clothes recycling program, and also contributes to environmental sustainability.

According to Eden, the reason for organizing the Mobile Clothes Closet event before the Lunar New Year is to bring the service to the community, reach out to more people in need, and convey the concept of "clothing exchange" and "sharing resources" for a circular economy.

Since 2000, Eden have been carrying out used clothes recycling program, donating clothes to needy public welfare organizations and disadvantaged groups in Taiwan and abroad, and at the same time, we are also committed to creating employment opportunities for persons with disabilities, demonstrating our insistence on equality, dignity and opportunity. In the future, Eden will continue to reach out to the community and realize the goals of CRPD and SDGs in our services.
