The organizer invited a Vietnamese instructor, Ms. Ho Van Anh, to share Vietnamese customs and traditions and to conduct a crafting class full of Vietnamese flavors. During the activity, there were a lot of laughs from of the new immigrant families and the community residents. In addition to improving the fine hand movements of the young children, they were able to get to know foreign cultures, understand the differences between each other's cultures, and break the old stereotypes.

Newcomers from different countries have formed families in Taiwan, bringing with them the cultures and cuisines of their homelands, and giving the community a more diversified outlook. Among them, the Vietnamese woven hats are very famous, and today's handcraft course is about painting on the little hats, with children painting small flowers in different colors and decorating them with different patterns of weaving and tassels, making them unique handicrafts.

Families of new immigrants and the community residents are invited to participate in the crafting program.

Hsiao-Chao, who is about to turn 3.5 years old, is slower to express himself than his peers and his mother was very worried about this. Encouraged by the social worker, her mother took Hsiao-Chao to participate in the hourly course and activities which organized by Lin-Yuan site and synchronously applied the knowledge learned in the course and activities at home, and after received half a year of early intervention services, Hsiao-Chao's ability to express himself orally improved significantly, and he will be transferred to a regular preschool this year, which his mother was very pleased with.

After received six months of early intervention services, Hsiao-Chao's oral expression has improved significantly.

Ms. Shu-Tsui Cheng, Director of Eden's Lin-Yuan Children Development Community Service Center said that we hope to inject different new immigrant cultures into the community, thereby breaking down the language and cultural barriers between people of different groups and increasing mutual affection, so that the community can become a diversified channel of interaction and communication.
