Children’s drama performance, warm Early Intervention Service graduation ceremony, Love Children Happiness Festival held in Taipei

Eden Foundation's annual fun-filled “Love Children Happiness Festival” was held in the Yuanshan Plaza of Taipei Expo Park on June 1 and 2! Coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Eden Early Intervention Service, this year's event featured a series of children's drama performances from the North, Central and South Taiwan, with slow-flying angels singing and dancing on stage, in line with the theme of “You are my good friend”, as well as a static exhibition, a variety of game booths, a toy exchange program, child development screenings and other fun and interesting activities, as well as a lovely and heartwarming graduation ceremony for the Early Intervention Service. We hope to call on all sectors of the community to pay attention to children's developmental needs through relaxing and playful activities, to let the public understand the difficulties faced by underprivileged children, and to discover hidden children in need of help, so that we can accompany them to grow up healthily and become a good friend of slow-flying families.

Children had a great time at the game booth!

Mr. Daniel Chen, Prisident of Eden Foundation, said, “Eden Early Intervention Service is entering its 30th anniversary and has been assisting more than 20,000 children with developmental delays every year. Taking care of slow-flying angels requires the company and support of the whole community, so every year, through lively and fun activities, we have the opportunity to begin to understand the importance of slow-flying angels and early intervention services, and we also hope that we can use more smiles and patience, more empathy and equal treatment, to cherish each little child, so that every child can grow up in the community with peace of mind, and families with child who receive early intervention service can move towards the future with more energy.

Mr. Daniel Chen, President of Eden, urges the general public to walk an extra mile with the children with love.

The stage activity started with the most energetic YOYO family leading the singing, Pineapple and Tomato were warmly welcomed by the children as soon as they appeared on stage. The Kaleidoscope Theatre Company performed “Elephant Liang-Liang” and at the end of the drama, the Slow-flying Angels of Eden appeared as part of the troupe and sang and danced together. The climax of the stage activity was the graduation ceremony of Early Intervention Service. Seeing the Slow-flying Angels wearing their caps and gowns, receiving their graduation certificates and sharing their graduation speeches on stage touched the hearts of mothers, fathers and the audience, who witnessed their growth and hard work together.

The audience gave blessings to the early intervention service graduates, wishing them to continue to grow up bravely.

Our Charity Ambassador Muta, the RAP singer also made a surprise appearance to present the graduation bouquet for the children. Muta said, from the first time he served as Eden's charity ambassador to now, he has also become a father. As a parent, he hopes that his child can grow up safely and healthily, so he would like to company with the slow-flying angels and their parents, as well as he hopes that his own strength can bring more encouragement to the families with child who receive early intervention service, he also expects that the community will be willing to support every child to grow up happily with a friendly and loving heart.

The graduate representative was Tzu-Chi from Taipei Early Intervention Service Center, who has been at Eden for more than three years and is about to graduate and move on to the next stage of her life. Tzu-Chi is the first child in her family and her mother thought she was an angel baby because she never cried much, but it was only after being reminded by the seniors in the neighborhood that it was not a good sign for her child to be too quiet. After the assessment, she found that her child had speech and developmental delays, so she started to look for early intervention service resources, not only attending ordinary kindergarten, but also attending the Eden hourly service, and going to the clinic for rehabilitation. After more than three years of therapy, Tzu-Chi has made a lot of progress. She used to be more stubborn and autistic, but she has gradually become more active, and her ability to take care of herself has also improved. Her mother said she is very thankful for the support from her educare givers and the resources and companionship they provided, which has helped the whole family get to this point, and she will continue to work hard with her in the future, hoping to catch up with her growth progress and grow up happily.

Eden Charity Ambassador Muta, the RAP singer, surprised to present flowers and blessings to the graduates.

In order to call on the public to continue to pay attention to the needs of families with child who receive early intervention service and to build an inclusive and friendly society, this year's Love Children Happiness Festival, with the theme of “I am your good friend”, invites the public to participate in the activities, from Say Hi to understanding and respecting the developmental needs of the slow-flying angels, to empathize with the hard work of the families with child who receive early intervention service, to give them support and help when they are in need, as well as keep them company as always. In addition to actions, we also invite you to donate to Eden's official website to support the program. Together with Eden, we will “accompanying a child with love, guarding a family, and create an inclusive and friendly environment”, and help slow-flying angels to explore and learn through a variety of appropriate professional services, so as to become the biggest support for families with child who receive early intervention service.
