The 2017 Multi-Cultural Camp for Second-Generation New Immigrant

Volunteers from the second-generation new immigrations, interns from Taiwan Tech Trek (TTT) program, along with volunteers from Panamas and Vietnam, will be leading the groups in the three-day event. The main point of the camp is for interns and international volunteers to present their own culture to the students with a series of multi-cultural classes and activities

Another core aspect of disability rights movement is “Nothing about us, without us.” This phrase decries situations such as describe. But to remedy such situations we need to determine who constitutes “us.” Disability should be seen as differences between people, instead of defects. We need to critically reexamine how society deals with disabilities as human diversity, and then adapt the system so that it serves everyone while recognizing the differences between disabled and non-disabled persons.

On 29th April to 1st May, 2013, Ms. Chia Yin Pan, staff representative of Eden Social Welfare Foundation at the annual InterAction Forum, headed for Washington D.C. to attend a three-day event presided over by the American Voluntary International Action. With nearly 1,000 attendees representing hundreds of organizations from all over the world, this year’s InterAction Forum features a wide variety of workshops and tracks on issues critical to the development of common solutions to the challenges faced by the world’s marginalized and impoverished communities.

A 7 magnitude earthquake broke out at 8:02 am on April 20, 2013, in Sichuan Province, China. According to local news agencies, 196 people were killed, 11,470 injured, and 21 reported missing in addition to the displacement of 237,655 individuals.
