According to the National Development Council (NDC), Taiwan will enter a super-aging society in 2025, and by then, one out of every five people will be over 65 years old. While every family has the older person, not everyone knows enough about long-term care, making many people avoid it due to a lack of understanding, while those who are under the said situation have a hard time talking about it. Eden held a press conference for the Care Service Programs for Older Persons today on first of November, premiere release the short video "Waiting for You to Come Home", which was performed by Mr. Crowd Lu, also invited Eden service users, grandma Ayu, her families, and care attendants to share the importance of community-based long-term care services for family care.

Mr. Crowd Lu who is very close to the elder generation in his family, was invited to be the Charity Ambassador of Eden to call on the public to care older persons and their aging caregivers who around us, so that age well and grow old with ease can become the common goal of the society. Mr. Crowd Lu said that with the onslaught of the ageing wave, many older persons and their caregivers are aging, and he also has examples of aging caregivers in his own family, so he is deeply touched by this issue of the older persons. However, aging is not a scary thing, and everyone experiences it, if there are professional services to support them, they will be able to continue to live in a familiar community. We also hope that the caregivers will remember to rest and love themselves if they feel tired.

At the age of 90, Grandma Ayu was a very active person who living alone, she usually grows vegetables at home and likes to chat with neighbors, in the end of 2021, she was been saved from the cerebral stroke recurrence, which made her daughter who lives in Taipei and is also over 70 years old, very worried. Therefore, she was referred into the Eden Yingge Day Care Center, which is near to where she lives. At first, she was very reluctant to come to the day care center, but after the care attendants and social workers took care of her and made many friends, Grandma Ayu's condition got better and better. In the day care center, there are many interesting courses every day that keeps her away from bored, transportation service to and from center keeps her safe and secure, and the center also provides meal boxes for dinner, which makes it less of a hassle to prepare the dinner, and more nutritious and healthy.

From the original weak knees and unstable steps, Grandma Ayu now walks steadily and her self-care ability has been improved, then she even takes the initiative to take care of her peers. In addition, her daughter was very worried about the accidents will happen because she always felt lonely and depressed when she was home alone, but now she always smiles after she is accompanied by someone in the Day Care Center and her daughter is relieved from the stress and has finally put down her heart.

Ms. Yen-Bing Chung, the CEO of Eden Foundation, said that according to statistics, the average Taiwanese person is bedridden for about 8 years before the end of life, and the caregiver's daily care hours are more than 10 hours on average, and the care is like a super marathon with no end in sight. Therefore, Eden's services are rooted into the community and are like a cheerleading team or a supply station, enabling the families who in need of long-team cares to take a breather and start again, then to have the strength to continue to move forward. On the other hand, assisting the older persons to maintain their daily lives and delay aging and degeneration is Eden's long-term commitment and a solution to relieve the pressure of caregiving.
