The humid and rainy climate in Yilan makes it difficult to dry bedding and clothing, which easily leads to the growth of allergens, dust mites and germs. In response to this, Eden Foundation Yilan Home-Based Long-Term Care Service Center has undertaken the Yilan County Government's "Happy Yilan Drying and Disinfection Project" in 2018. Eden’s Yilan Home-Based Long-Term Care Service Center is now in its 6th year of providing disinfection dryer truck services in Sanxing Township, Yuanshan Township, Datong Township and other districts. The disinfection process is completely chemical-free and takes about one hour to disinfect the damp and germ-filled mattresses, sheets, and pillows, making them warm and fluffy, not only eliminating the suspicion of skin infections, but also allowing people to enjoy a good quality of sleep and a hygienic environment.

Mr. Lee is 56-year-old and suffered from a stroke in his left lower optic thalamus 7 years ago, which made it difficult for him to move his right limb and started to use a wheelchair. He has many difficulties in taking care of himself in daily life and is unable to organize his home environment. He was unable to clean his bed, blankets and pillows for many years. In humid and hot weather, dust mites and bacteria would easily grow, causing his skin to become red, swollen and itchy.
