20 years for the Half Sound and Wheelchair dance groups, dance from themselves and the commonwealth.

In the 40th anniversary of Eden Social Welfare Foundation, it’s pleased to have the amazing performance from the half sound and wheelchair dance groups on Sunday night in October 23th given that the two dance groups have been established for 20 years.

It’s also a presentation and milestone for the half sound and wheelchair dance groups that day, they would also accompany Eden into the next 20 years. In the presentation, there were numbers of distinguished guests and audiences. Among this, one of our executive board director, Mr. Ju Chau Chen mentioned that it’s not easy for all of them when u could not hear but following up the beat. They all work hard to get the achievement until now. We should give them applause.

The show is separately divided into two parts. The first part is about the wheelchair dance group dancing purely with the half sound dance group with miscellaneous style of the songs. The covid-19 has rages for 2 years and people could only stay in Taiwan but traveling around. Eden proposed to make it a drama by traveling around the world with different kinds of dancing forms, Paris, Korea, Thailand, Cuba, Spain, India, the United States and Taiwan, are included in the travel list. The main story focuses on the persons with disabilities, who are eager to dance one day. An elf came to help her to get the confidence, which presents the spirit of “ No one leaves behind.”

Eden has been devoted itself on wheelchair and half sound dance groups cultivating for a long time. The wheelchair dance group has been established since 2001. It’s not only just their tools in replace with feet but also dancing shoes, which make them shine in every corner of the world. Initially, they are concentrated on ballroom dancing. Owing to striving for the breakthrough themselves, they start to try a variety of styles. Eden saw the need from the persons with hearing impaired 10 years later, the half sound group was founded.Through the vibration of the music and the sign language interpretation by the sign language teacher, they could all enjoy the joy from dancing.

 

For them, performing on the stage is the best thing for them to give back to the society.Twenty years have passed in a blink of an eye, Eden Social Welfare Foundation would continue to dance together for the commonwealth through dancers’ postures.
