Eden’s Chinese Classroom in Vinh Long was reopened in-person after being shut down for months

As the COVID-19 pandemic was quite severe in Vietnam, our Chinese classroom in Vinh Long was forced to shut down from last year to follow the local government regulations. However, as the situation has slowed down gradually, we are thrilled to announce our Chinese classroom in Vinh Long, Vietnam has resumed back in person in June. With almost 15 students showing up, Ms. Wen, having decades of Chinese language-teaching experiences, was perhaps the happiest person to see all the students back to the class.

Since 2005, in order to help the children who were born in Taiwan and raised later in Vietnam adapt to the cultural environment and not give up their education in Chinese, Eden has continued to provide Chinese language-learning resources to Vietnam so that those children can have bilingual skills and help them find their way to the future. Lately, our services in Vinh Long have expanded to the local Vietnamese students to outreach to the local communities and promote Chinese-speaking culture more. This is as well to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) - “Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.”
