Eden Task 4s X The Experience Sharing from International Volunteers

The Eden Task Force Team called out to our international volunteers to go into the mountain to have a cultural exchange in Maibagah Tribe, Miaoli. At the English Summer Camp, the international volunteers taught English and explained the environmentally friendly concepts related to SDGs to the young tribal kids.

To make the curriculum more educational and interesting, those international volunteers spent almost one month preparing the necessary materials and activities to help the students grasp the concepts in a creative way. These 10 international volunteers from different countries designed all the lessons and games through online meetings. During the process of preparation, volunteers realized that each had their own uniqueness, strengths and weaknesses based on their different cultural backgrounds. Therefore, while designing and executing the activities, volunteers had chances to learn from each other and shared their thoughts from various perspectives. Even though they had never met each other before the camp started, they still had wonderful support and heartwarming friendship from each other. Before our volunteers left the tribe, they made a poster together to leave messages to the kids wishing them the best and showing their appreciation as well.

We hold a belief that everyone who took part in the camp had amazing memories and truly felt God's unconditional love for each one of us.
