Exploring the Beauty from the Diversity Culture-New Immigrant Second Generation Camp

August 12th is known as the International Youth Day, and the Eden Social Welfare Foundation (hereinafter called Eden) also cooperates with Cathay General Bancorp to hold the “New Immigrant Second Generation Camp” for our younger generation. The camp is conducted in six different values, which are silent understanding, staying rational, fairness, active listening, enthusiasm, and creativity. The intention for the camp brings out teamwork power through the process of discovery and feeling with your heart. Hence, international vision and Canadian cultural exchange are included in this camp.

Eden cooperates with international volunteers from Canada and the United States to expand the diversity of the camp. They share their foreign experiences and interact with participants to have international cultural exchange. During interaction, we are glad to see our participants have sharpen their English skills and learn new knowledge about other countries.

Moreover, a campfire for the second day directly emphasizes the importance for the camp and experience the beauty of cultural diversity of Canada.

The “New Immigrant Second Generation Camp” broadens the horizon of Taiwanese new immigrants and allows them to explore themselves. The camp also helps team members build relationships and have appropriate expression by themselves to properly communicate with others.
