Mental illness has been an issue of concern to our society. From the peculiar eyesight to the discrimination, people with mental illness who are eager to recover face difficulties to open up their minds, and they are even unwilling to step out and interact with others during reunion dinner. To encourage those with mental illness to live with courage and allow them to experience the joyful atmosphere of the Lunar New Year, TWCF International Co. Ltd. provided funding for Eden’s service event of “Love, Reunion”. This allowed people with mental illness to feel the warmth of support and to alleviate their loneliness.

Thanks to the kindness of TWCF, people with mental illness were able to experience the atmosphere of having reunion dinners.

According to the statistical data of Ministry of Health and Welfare, over 2 million people seek medical services due to mental illness each year. This kind of disability is no longer belonged to minorities. They need supports from professional medical resources and also the understanding from our society to regain their own values of life. Therefore, the Eden Social Welfare Foundation provides caregiver service lines for people with mental disabilities, propaganda activities in communities, empowerment for art educators, clubs for mental illness, etc. At the same time, Eden holds reunion dinner events at the end of each year to encourage people with mental illness to go out to create unforgettable memories of Chinese New Year.
