Since Eden Social Welfare Foundation was founded in 1982, we have worked hard in promoting rights and benefits for the persons with disabilities. Then we have upheld the principles of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) by combining, integrating, and redirecting socialcare and resources towards the vision of “Wherever there is a need, there is an answer from Eden.”  “Mobility for all” has been Eden’s first priority as we believe that accessibility would impact significantly on education for children with disabilities and the livesof disabled adults and seniors. The advocacy of ‘mobility for all’ is coincide with the purpose of this book.

Article 9 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), emphasizes that we should enable persons with disabilities to live independently and participate fully in all aspects of life and ensure persons with disabilities able to access to physical environments and transportation on an equal basis with others. This book had collected various cases and through insightful analysis, recommendation and viable solutions are provided.

We hope that global community development workers, eeducation experts, teaching staff, parents and  caregivers, transportation officials, and transportation workers from around the world can all participate and provide  comprehensive discussion on accessible transportation and plan more effective improvements. And we also hope that our tireless efforts will bear strong and powerful fruit so that children with disabilities may enjoy full access of education.
