It’s well known that the innovation of smartphones provides great help to seniors due to its user friendly interface. It not only expands their horizon, but also helps them to interact with more people. Hence, the Smartphone workshop is organized by the Eden Community-Based Elderly Long-Term Care Center to teach seniors better use the phone as tools to make life easier and enrich their social lives.

Book Launch- Bridging the Gap-Traditional Chinese Version

We are pleased to invite you to join us on celebrating the launch of the book: , which the Chinese version was translated and published online by Eden Social Welfare Foundation. Also thank to Dr. Wan-Ping Lee of the Department of Social Work of Soochew University in Taipei for working with us to review the content assuring the high quality of the Chinese version. This book evaluates the accessible transportation for the children with disabilities in developing countries. Through case study and analysis, this book provides a comprehensive evaluation on the school transportation projects for children with disabilities in various countries. It provides policy makers, schools, families, with recommendation and viable solutions so that the access to education can be improved for children with disabilities. This book was written by Access Exchange International (AEI), is a non-profit agency promoting accessible public transport for persons with disabilities and seniors in low-income regions around the world. With great privilege, Eden was invited to proceed Chinese translation and to publish in Chinese-speaking regions.

After Lu graduated from vocational high school, mother Lu, who hopes her daughter can be more independent, reached out to Chih-Yu for help again. Later Chih-Yu and Eden referred Lu to the Vocational Rehabilitation Services Center for Persons with Disabilities, Labor Affairs Bureau of Taichung City Government, for vocational training. Currently, she is now having the assembling personnel training twice a week
