The Epidemic Prevention Is Actually Easy And Fun!

Recently, COVID-19 spreads like wildfire. It caused a significant impact on the whole community as well as the individuals. More than that, the pandemic made it even harder for persons with disabilities to take prudent steps for self-protection and support receipt. Thus, as an organization serving persons with disabilities, Eden makes sure all the epidemic prevention information is accessible, which means that all the information is not only delivered well but also is received through the most appropriate way. This also comply with the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) Article 21* - the right of access to information. Thus, Eden hosted a fun health education workshop so that persons with disabilities not only realized the importance of health and hygiene but was also able to put it into action.

Be Glamorous: A Special Photo Shooting Project

At Eden, we have been dedicating ourselves to advocate and take action based on CRPD for years. We put all our efforts to make sure that persons with disabilities could equally enjoy their lives to the fullest. In Article 30 of CRPD, persons with disabilities shall be ensured of taking part on an equal basis with others in cultural life, recreation, leisure, and sport. Base on that, we initiated a special photo shooting project for residences in the Yilan Education and Nursing Institute of Eden Social Welfare Foundation. In this project, we hope to provide a special memory for residences as well as for their families.

Hence, Eden launched a series of programs with Mudan School in New Taipei City to enrich kids’ learning experiences. We invite international volunteers who are studying in Taiwan to bring age-appropriate activities for kids at the kindergarten of Mudan School.

Many innovative and meaningful projects have been rolled out to make it happen. For example, the Nest Bakery of Nesbitt Center which, same as Eden, is one of the members of Workability Asia (WAsia), is established to provide training and create job opportunities for persons with disability.

The tattoos are both very sophisticated and majestic. Also, Mr. Ke has long hair. His rough appearance reminds us of his old days of being a gangster.
