Appreciate the World with Their Heart

The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) Article 30 ensures physically and mentally challenged people have the rights to participate in recreation, travel and sports activities. Eden Foundation has continued to put CRPD into practice, ensuring that they can enjoy recreation, relaxation and experience life freely. Based on this idea, Eden Rehabilitation Center for Visually Impaired held the “Brand New Horizon-River Tracing” activity, leading visually impaired to experience nature.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Goal 1 is to eliminate poverty and to ensure that everyone, especially the poor and the vulnerable, has equal rights to access to basic needs. In order to achieve this goal and based on the spirit of “Love without Border”, Eden started the Donation Program in Vietnam to help senior citizens and those suffering from poverty in the rural areas to obtain their basic necessities.

The Smell of Coffee Coagulated Children's Hope and Happiness in Remote Areas

For over 38 years, Eden has been implementing the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). From offering Quality Education in Thailand (SDGs Goal 4), to delivering food to the seniors in Vietnam to reduce hunger (SDGs Goal 2), Eden has launched several programs dedicated to creating Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDGs Goal 11). One of the programs is Eden's Elephant Circle Project. It aims to maximize rural communities' ability to be self-sufficient and to protect children's education in rural areas.

Eden Celebrates its 38th Birthday!

Today marks Eden’s 38th year anniversary of serving persons with disabilities. Starting from a small group of people of “Eden Handicap Foundation,” now Eden has evolved to a 3,000-staff “Eden Social Welfare Foundation,” with over 130 service centers serving more than 200,000 persons and families every year.

The “2020 International Workshop on Human Rights-Based Approaches – The Implementation of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities

"Different but Equal!" Different types of disabilities face different types of challenges in life. Yet, one thing remains the same is that we are all born to share the same rights as everyone else. In the process of promoting support for persons with disabilities for 38 years, Eden strongly believes that all persons with disabilities should enjoy a free and prosperous life like everyone else. Eden values the value and dignity of persons with disabilities, and has actively advocated human rights-based social welfare policies and promoted comprehensive care so that the human rights and the welfare for persons with disabilities can be ensured.
