Integrated Community Cooperation in Mainland China
Our post-disaster reconstruction phases and missions included long-termed resettlement and family support for the individual as well as community reconstruction, facilitation of consensus among community members, and establishment of networks for resources at the community level. Hence, Eden Social Welfare Foundation investigated and responded to the needs of different communities with different approaches to community reconstruction, cultural characteristics, relationships among community members, and the impact of social welfare programs. Volunteer services were implemented to help communities establish self-management capabilitiesand to encourage active participation ofsocial events among community members, so sustainable development of the community can be achieved.
