The Second-Generation Immigrant Camp

In August, Eden held a 3-days New Immigrant Camp!

This camp is designed for second-generation immigrant children. We planned several activities for them to learn different cultures as well as the importance of teamwork.

Our four international volunteers put all their efforts into giving the second-generation immigrant kids the most unforgettable and most educational camps. The purpose of this camp is to widen the horizon, to raise the cultural sensitivity, and to cultivate teamwork spirit of the kids!

For the second day of our 3-days camp, Miki, our Japanese teacher brought us a Japanese Culture Workshop today! ▪️

For the last day of our 3-days camp, like the previous days, it was also full of challenging activities. One of the exciting activities was the rope climbing, which requires perfect body coordination. Through these activities, we see the kids showcasing bravery, discipline, and great teamwork!

The kids had an amazing 3-days camp! They learned different cultures; enjoyed the teamwork with others, and had a glimpse of how welfare organization helps people in the society! After the camp, Eden prepared some little gifts for the kids. Kimi, the Japanese teacher also prepared gifts of Sumikko Gurashi, which is a set of very popular figures in kids group, and some snacks from Japan for the kids as a surprise as well as a happy ending!
